     CWC 2023

Ind vs Pak cwc2023:  Purely one sided "dominant" performance by India . Pak after getting a decent start scoring 49 -1 in powerplay and 82 run partnership for 3rd wicket between Babar Azam and Rizwan. From being 155-2 at one stage ,Pakistan crumbled to 191 losing 8 wickets for 36 run in 13 over.
Considering the start Pakistan got it's an extraordinary performance by Indian bowlers as they've actually ended  them with a total less than 200.The openers got off to a brisk start after being put into bat, India's bowlers weren't quite on the boil straightaway and struggled for discipline. Siraj in particular was carted around for a few boundaries and Pakistan were looking good. It was Siraj though that got India their first breakthrough, through a bluff from Rohit hinting at a short ball and then sneaking a cross-seamer to keep low and trap Shafique in front. Imam fell in the trap soon when they pushed deep point squarer and sucked him into the drive. Rizwan and Babar got to work after and set about accumulating. They batted cautiously at the start but were quick to put away anything that was even remotely loose. The boundaries kept coming at regular intervals and it looked like Pakistan were set for a big total with those two at the crease. Their partnership soared past 50 but that's when India hit back hard.

And this is 8th win in a row has to be inarguably the easiest
. India with a belting of Pakistan and that envious World Cup record in ODIs continues. The chase of 192 was never going to unsettle this powerful Indian batting lineup and skipper Rohit Sharma (86 of 63 balls, 6 fours and 6 sixes) made it even more easier with a superb innings. His timing was spot-on and he took down the Pakistani pacers with his  strokeplay. A pull off Haris Rauf which soared over deep backward square leg the highlight. Rohit may not have got consecutive World Cup 100s against Pakistan but his innings ensured the likes of Shreyas Iyer (53 of 62 balls , 3 fours 2 sixes) took their time and eye and India's No.4 helped himself to a morale-boosting unbeaten 53. Pakistan did not have the target to bowl at. They will wonder how from such a strong position at 155/2 in the 30th over, they allowed themselves to capitulate to 191 all out. That's where the game was lost effectively. India pounced on that Babar wicket and made the contest their own after that. With this win, India go top of the table too. In hindsight, and with the way the pitch played around the 25th over in the chase.
